- TH012-0150: -20 to 150°C
- TH012-0200: -10 to 200°C – NEW
These red thermometers offer the advantage of being safer as they use alcohol instead of mercury
Instructions for alcohol thermometers:
Identify the immersion type of your laboratory thermometer:
For total immersion types, the red thermometer should be immersed to the level of the liquid in the capillary column in order to get an accurate temperature reading.
For partial immersion thermometers, they should be immersed to the specific depth indicated by the immersion line on the alcohol thermometer, and regardless of the of the liquid in the column.
Partial immersion thermometers are appropriate for any application where total immersion is impractical or impossible, such as in a shallow water bath. These scientific thermometers are a great addition to your laboratory or science class.
